This new hard drive from Apricorn is called the Aegis Padlock hard drive. Well, as the name shows this hard drive ensures the security of the data with the help of a padlock.

The Aegis Padlock Secure Hard Drive can be locked or unlocked via a PIN number that the user selects. The information stored on the drive cannot be accessed without entering the PIN number selected by the user.

The drive includes a USB 2.0 cable that assists in connecting the drive to the computer. The Aegis Padlock features a choice of AES-128 or 256 bit hardware encryption. The drive also allows ten user ID and one administrator ID that can assign permission to the users ID. Its weight just over six ounces.
