Intel Launches next generation SSD

Intel Corp launching next generation SSD (Solid state) drives based on 34nm NAND chips very soon. Now, Intel will be launch on 21st July.

According to the company, the new and improved, cheaper, faster chips will be available for channel orders.

According to sources, the new solid state disks will feature smaller 34nm NAND Flash developed by Intel and Micron. Also, the smaller manufacturing processes should allow for higher density SSDs about 320GB at a reduced cost to manufacture to the company.

Earlier, high costs, limited capacities and have made SSDs of limited use, but according to sources the Intel’s upcoming devices will not only be super fast and ultra dependable, but will be able to challenge others in the pricing front.

At present, there will be 320GB, 160GB and 80GB capacities of the new drives, now 500GB version also available in few days.
