Merdeka Square Merdeka means Independence and this is the place on 31 August 1957 Malaysia got its Independent. There is a 100 meter flagpole rising from Merdeka Square is the tallest in the world. This is also venue of National Day Parade.

National Mosque (Masjid Negara) National Mosque was completed in 1965 and remains the largest mosque in South East Asia – the vast main prayer hall can accommodate up to 10,000 people. Its 18-point star-shaped dome represents the 13 states of Malaysia and five central Pillars of Islam. Visitors Entry is only permitted once prayers have been finished.

National Museum (Muzium Negara) it was built by the British and Selangor governments in 1898. During World War II, museum was destroyed. After Malaysia independence on 31 August 1957, the federal government decided to build the national museum again and National Museum opened for publicly in August 31.

National Park (Taman Negara) Taman Negara contains some of the oldest rainforest in the world and spans thousands of square miles of protected land. Taman Negara National Park was established in 1938/1939 as the King George V National Park. Park was renamed Taman Negara after independence.

Sunway Lagoon Theme Park If you like adventure and plan to visit with your kids then you should visit to the world famous Sunway lagoon theme park and you can’t decline it. The Sunway Lagoon is located on eighty acres and divided into three sections the Wild Wild West, World of Adventure and Waters of Africa.

Batu Caves The Batu Caves are located in Gombak just 13 kilometers north of the Malaysian capital and is one of the most visited tourist attractions in the country. The Batu cave Temple is one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India, dedicated to Lord Murugan.
